Nutrient inputs from two major rivers into the cilician basin of the north-eastern Mediterranean Sea

In this study, dissolved nutrients concentrations were measured monthly at downstream points of the two regional rivers (the Berdan and Göksu rivers) flowing into Cilician Basin North-eastern (NE) Mediterranean Sea.The data obtained between September 2021 August 2022 used to determine riverine nutrient fluxes. This study showed that spatial temporal variations recorded in with maximum values consistently River having lower volume fluxes.The annual inputs indicated higher amounts carried by due its fluxrate. The calculated molar ratios from total nitrogen (TN)and phosphorus (TP) fluxes ranged 13 22 River. TN/TP ratio compared classic Redfield Ratio N/P is very likely modify dynamics leading further eutrophication shelf waters NE Sea.
